In 1995, the Lady Dior bag was presented to Princess Diana by the French First Lady, Bernadette Chiarc, at the Grand Palais in Paris. Initially, the bag was just a prototype that Bernadette Chiarc discovered at the Dior atelier. Within 24 hours, an exclusive edition was created for Lady Diana, which is why it was named "Lady Dior" in honor of the princess.
